Janice helps organizations manage hiring, contracts, signatures, onboarding tasks, and related files. This policy explains the data we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to customers and users.

Information we collect

We collect account information such as names, email addresses, organization names, roles, invitation status, and authentication events.

Customers may add candidate, intern, staff, contractor, partner, or client records, including contact details, lifecycle status, onboarding tasks, documents, signatures, uploaded files, and notes entered into Janice.

For signing and audit trails, Janice may record timestamps, IP address, user-agent, signature data, document hashes, and signed PDF metadata.

For billing and payments, we use Stripe. Janice stores Stripe customer, subscription, plan, trial, and status identifiers, but payment card details are handled by Stripe.

How we use information

We use information to provide the Janice product, authenticate users, isolate organizations, generate documents, support e-signatures, store files, send product and onboarding emails, process billing, and maintain security/audit records.

We may use aggregate or de-identified product telemetry to improve reliability, onboarding, support, and product quality.

Service providers

Janice relies on service providers for hosting, database, authentication, file storage, email, analytics, AI-assisted drafting, and payments. These providers process data only as needed to operate Janice.

Current core providers include Vercel, Supabase, Resend, Stripe, and AI model providers used for drafting workflows.

Customer content and ownership

Customers keep ownership of the people records, documents, templates, signed files, and uploaded content they add to Janice.

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have permission to upload and process data about candidates, staff, contractors, partners, clients, and other users they invite into Janice.

Security and retention

Janice uses organization-based access controls, authentication, row-level isolation, encrypted service-provider infrastructure, and audit-oriented records for sensitive workflows such as document signing.

We retain customer data while an account is active and as needed for legal, security, billing, backup, and audit purposes. Customers may request export or deletion where applicable.

Your choices

Customers may update account and billing information, invite or remove teammates, archive people records, cancel subscriptions, and request help exporting or deleting data.

Marketing or nurture emails include unsubscribe controls where required. Operational emails related to account access, billing, invitations, or signatures may still be sent.
